Coil Galvalume

Coil galvalume is a steel coil that has been hot-dip coated with an aluminum-zinc alloy layer. It is usually evenly coated on the surface of the steel coil using a hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy coating method. This coating can provide the steel with better corrosion and weather resistance and extend the service life of the steel.

• Cleaning

Compared with the production of ordinary hot-dip galvanized sheets, the production of aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel sheets has more stringent requirements on the cleanliness of the substrate, and an electrolytic degreasing and cleaning section is set before the annealing furnace.

• Annealing

To ensure a strong reducing atmosphere in the furnace and strictly control the zero temperature at the furnace nose

• Hot-dip galvanizing

In order to obtain better coating adhesion, the temperature of the strip entering the zinc pot should be about 50℃ lower than the bath temperature. Rapid cooling is required after plating, and the cooling rate is generally required to be 10~30℃C/s.

• Post-plating treatment

Alu-zinc alloy plate is generally also post-treated with chromic acid passivation. In recent years, in order to improve the formability and environmental protection of hot-dip galvanized aluminum-zinc alloy plate, the roller-coated acrylic acid process has gradually replaced the traditional chromic acid passivation, and chromium-free organic passivation has gradually received widespread attention.

• Corrosion resistance: Galvanized steel coil has strong corrosion resistance and a service life of up to 25 years, which is 3-6 times that of galvanized steel coil.
• Heat resistance: It has a high thermal reflectivity and is suitable as a roofing material. It can be used at a temperature of 315 degrees Celsius.
• Recoatability: Coil alvalume can maintain good adhesion with the paint coating and can be sprayed or powder-coated without special pre-treatment.
• Processability: It has good processability and is suitable for stamping, cutting, welding, and other operations.
• Conductivity: The surface is specially treated to meet the requirements of electromagnetic shielding.
