Cold Rolled Steel Plate
Cold rolled sheet is a steel plate material processed through cold rolling technology. Cold rolling, as an important processing method for steel, is the further rolling of hot-rolled steel plates at room temperature to achieve more precise dimensions, smoother surfaces, and better mechanical properties.

Application
Cold rolled steel plates are primarily used in the following areas:
- Automotive manufacturing: bBody anels, chassis components (requiring high strength and formability).
- Home appliance industry: Refrigerator casings, air conditioner panels (requiring aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance).
- Building and decoration: Curtain walls, interior partitions (surfaces can be coated or painted).
- Electronic equipment: Casings, shielding covers (excellent electromagnetic shielding performance).
Production Process
Cold rolled steel plate production begins with the pretreatment of hot-rolled steel coils:
1. First, surface iron oxide scale is removed through hydrochloric acid pickling, followed by high-pressure water rinsing and drying to ensure cleanliness.
2. Subsequently, the steel coil is rolled in multiple passes at room temperature using a multi-roll reversible rolling mill (such as a four-roll or six-roll mill), reducing the thickness by 30%-70%. Emulsified lubricant is used for cooling and temperature control during this process.
3. The rolled steel coil then undergoes annealing treatment (bell-type annealing at 650-850℃ or continuous annealing line) in an H₂/N₂ protective atmosphere to eliminate work hardening and adjust the grain structure. After annealing, a light rolling process of 0.5-3% is performed using a leveling machine to improve the flatness and enhance the surface finish (Ra≤0.8μm).
4. Finally, the steel is passivated for rust prevention, electrostatically coated with oil (0.5-3g/m²), and then cut into target sizes using high-precision slitting or shearing equipment. Before packaging, quality inspection procedures such as laser thickness measurement and eddy current testing are performed to ensure compliance with standards such as ASTM A568.
